Smart Flow Sheet does not convert one measurement (i.e., mcg) to another (i.e., mg). The concentration and the dosing both have to be in the same unit of measure. Instead of changing the unit of measure for the dosing of the medication, it is easier to change the concentration of the medication in your system to match the way you dose it. For example, Dexdomitor's concentration is 0.5 mg/mL, but you are dosing it at 2 mcg/kg. In this case, you would change the concentration of Dexdomitor in your system from 0.5 mg/mL to 500 mcg/mL.
