PIMS & Cubex: What should I notice about re-billing settings?

Is your PIMS integrated with Cubex? Do you experience problems with items being billed twice? If so, please read on for some important information regarding your billing settings.
In your EMR Settings, if you have SEND BILLING & MEDICAL RECORDS TO EMR option switched ON, your PIMS will receive treatment events from both SmartFlow & Cubex. As a result of this, items will get billed twice on the invoice!
To solve this problem you will see the option in Settings > Parameters > Edit parameter to toggle a setting named Cubex Billing to either ON or OFF:

If Cubex Billing is ON then SmartFlow will NOT send billing events to your PIMS. Although it will continue to send notes, pictures and/or video as long as you have the PIMS Events (e.g. Cornerstone (DataPoint) Events) toggle ON as well, SmartFlow will send profile information to Cubex regardless of the Cubex Billing setting. If the PIMS Events toggle is OFF, SmartFlow will only send profiles to Cubex when the Cubex Billing toggle is ON.
If Cubex billing is ON, and the items are billable, make sure to have the items marked as billable in Cubex or no billing for the items will occur
NOTE: This settings switch will only be visible if your SmartFlow account is connected to Cubex, and only for mapped inventory. By default, this setting is switched to OFF.
