How do I reboot/restart my modem? Print

Rebooting your modem / router can fix some Internet connection problems, improve slow moving connections and resolve wireless issues caused by your modem without causing issues to your electronic devices. Doing this can make sure your modem is performing at its best. However, rebooting will not help if the problem is in the hardware (broken cords, modem, routers, etc.), internet provider's issues, or bandwidth saturation (when all available network bandwidth is used at high upload / download activity of multiple devices).
NOTE: Wait at least two or three minutes before you test whether you’re back online. Some routers take much longer than you might expect to boot up, and there’s no point in testing whether you’re back online before the boot process has completed.
