At this point, our team has not tested SmartFlow with the touch-screen setup and does not have enough customer satisfaction data about it, we cannot provide any support related to the touch-screens used in a clinic, therefore we do not recommend running SmartFlow on Smart TV.
Pretty much any TV screen can be used with SmartFlow as long as it has Full-HD 1920×1080 resolution.
It can be easily connected to a computer via HDMI, DVI, and VGA, but before purchasing a TV screen please ensure that your computer supports HDMI or DVI.
Here is just one example of a touch screen set-up that can be used:
Hardware
Samsung Digital SMART Signage Monitor (Part # LH48RMDPLGA/ZA).
Samsung TouchScreen Overlay (Part # CY-TD48LDAH)
Intel ComputeStick Part # STCK1A32WFC
Any Wireless Router that supports 802.11 b/g/n
Set-up
The SMART Signage TV displays are very durable and can run up to 16 hours per day, even in high temperatures or high humidity, unlike conventional household TVs which are designed to operate for only about 8 hours a day. Attach the Samsung CY-TD-LDAH series adaptive touch module to the Samsung SMART Signage displays to enable touch capability for the SmartFlow application. The Intel ComputeStick plugs into your HDMI slot transforming the display into a fully functional computer.
NOTE: This set-up is only as good as the wireless connectivity. Using a Commercial Grade dual band router with access points and dedicating a 5Ghz VLAN to Smart Flow will ensure the system will run much smoother with less wireless hiccups.
