With the new update, instead of receiving pop-up notifications when there is problems with the Internet connection which could interrupt your work, we now use a special top bar indicator to notify you when any connection issues are detected(e.g. poor connection or no connection) in real time, there can be three different variation of connectivity warnings as illustrated below:
Synchronisation took longer than usual - internet connectivity may be weak:
If your iPad took longer than usual to synchronise data, a YELLOW bar will appear at the top of the screen on any open flowsheet and anesthetic sheet:
NOTE: Your iPad has successfully synchronised and you can safely close the application but you may consider checking your WiFi signal in this area of the hospital. This bar will remain present until synchronisation returns to normal speed.
Actively synchronising and taking longer than usual - do NOT close the application:
In such cases, a YELLOW ANIMATED bar will appear at the top of the screen on any opened flowsheet and anesthetic sheet:
NOTE: Do NOT close the application or lock the iPad until synchronisation is complete. You should consider moving to an area of the hospital with better connection to ensure your iPad can complete synchronising.
Internet connection is completely lost:
In these cases a RED bar will appear at the top of the screen on any opened flowsheet and anesthetic sheet, and all icon outlines become white:
When internet connectivity returns, then all Top Bar icons reflect in their usual blue/red colors on the white background.
Please also remember that we have additional notifications within the iPad app to warn you that you're experiencing internet problems:
Why am I receiving a warning / exclamation mark on my form?
Why am I receiving a warning about not having an Anesthetic Sheet, or it being created offline?
We hope you found this information useful!
