The voice recognition is a helpful iPad feature for adding Notes to a patient on a Flowsheet or an Anesthetic Sheet. When you add a note, both by tapping and holding a cell or by entering a new Note via the Notes section, the keyboard will pop-up. To make a voice record, simply click the microphone icon to the left of the space bar:


When it's pressed for the first time, the pop-up window will appear asking you to allow the access to the voice recognition, once an access is given, the recognition will start automatically.

NOTE: In case the voice recognition doesn't work after the steps above it's crucial to check your Dictation Settings by following instructions described in HERE.


To record your Note, just start speaking and the text will appear in the text field. When you're done, tap on the keyboard icon at the bottom right corner of the screen to stop recording. Check the text and if needed, change it, then tap Next / Done to save it and move to another field:
