Dear SmartFlow user, 

 

We’re excited to let you know we’ve been working on upgrading and improving the backend of the SmartFlow platform which means we can start to deliver even better enhancements and features again that you’ll love! Over half of the updated platform has already been released and has been in use by customers like yourself. The remaining upgrade is set to roll out soon in one seamless update. 
 

How and when will the upgrade be rolled out to your site? 

We’ll be rolling out this upgrade starting May 2025 and finishing by end of July 2025. 
 

The rollout will be done in batches to ensure the experience is as seamless as possible for you, and we’ll let you know in the SmartFlow banner announcement when to expect your turn. 

 

How will you be affected? 

You shouldn’t notice any change as this is a backend upgrade. However, please be aware that when the upgrade occurs, web versions of SmartFlow will be logged out, and you will need to log back in. In the highly unlikely instance that you do experience any friction, you can contact our support team, who will be on standby around the clock.

 

Is there anything you need to do? 

During the update you will be logged out of the web app, including TVs, so you’ll need to log back into your account. You will not be logged out of the iPad app. 

 
Prior to May 12th, we request that you update your iPads to a minimum version of 17.6.8 as this will improve your chances of a seamless upgrade experience. SmartFlow will not run as optimally or receive future updates if you continue to use previous versions of the iPad app. 

 

How will we let you know it’s your turn? 

Enterprise customers: Your account manager will chat with you directly about the upgrade and let you know when it’s your turn so that you can be prepared. 
 

Independent practices: Look out for the usual in-app banner which will pop up at the bottom of the SmartFlow screen. 
 
General release note announcement: The upgrade will also be added to the release notes for your reading pleasure.
