If a clinic is connected to DataPoint and has already admitted a patient but then later changes the patient ID you should be aware that this will affect your Smart Flow system and cause a discrepancy.

Depending on the result of the previous data extraction there are two different ways of solving the discrepancy:

1. In the case that data extraction wasn't successful - Smart Flow system will try to extract the patients data again by itself.

2. In the case that data extraction was successful but the users realize they entered the wrong patient ID the user should discharge / delete that patient and re-admit manually because just changing the ID will not update anything.
